Nick and Melissa's wedding

This weekend we had a wedding to go to where both the Eric's were in the wedding. I wasn't sure how it was going to go because the little guy hadn't had a nap besides the car ride to the hotel and the wedding was at 6 so he would inevitable be hungry (sorry God but I brought snacks into your church for the wedding, but you understand, right??). We arrived at our friends John and Ellen's hotel room and the boys got dressed there then they went off while Ellen and I hung out until it was time to drive to the church for the wedding. What I didn't think about is that when a bunch of men get around a cute little boy they have a tendency to get said cute little boy riled up. By the time I got to the church he was bouncing off the walls. I gave him some fishy crackers to calm him down and hoped for the best (or that he would at least make it down the aisle as the ring bearer!). So thankfully when it was show time he made it down the aisle just fine. He had a little trouble sitting still during the ceremony but whispered when he needed something so at least he understood to be quiet! He ended up sitting with me for a third of the wedding, the groomsmen for a third of the wedding, and with the flower girl for a third of the wedding. Hopefully he wasn't too disturbing but he was quiet and content! After the wedding I drove to the reception while the boys got to go in the limo. There were a lot of pictures taken so by the time everyone got into the reception it was after 8pm. Thankfully by the time they introduced the wedding party the little guy and the flower girl were bffs and she was a good influence on him (as most women are on men!) and he was calm and happy. When it came time to eat he lingered between eating on daddy's lap, visiting Angelina the flower girl, and sitting on Ellen's lap to eat. It was really nice that the bride and groom got him a special chicken finger meal with strawberries. He didn't eat much though because he was too busy with his bff. When it came time to dance he was so tired. The three of us slow danced together and he seemed like he was going to pass out. We brought him back to the table and were thinking about leaving when the music got more upbeat. He mustered up some energy and occupied that dance floor for every song. He danced with all the ladies and when we went to try to dance with him he pushed us away! I never thought at 3 he would be embarrassed to be around us because he was trying to win over the hearts of all the women, young and old! When the cake was cut the little guy asked John, "Who's birthday is it?" because for 3 year olds, cake means it must be someone's birthday! When it got to be close to 11pm we dragged the little guy off the dance floor and headed home. He fell asleep about 2 minutes into the car ride. He continued to move his body as if dancing, in his sleep and then woke up in the middle of the night, complaining that his legs hurt! This morning he woke up singing and talking about how the wedding was "awesome." All in all he did well and we ended up having fun too!

So handsome :)

 My two handsome boys

Just keep walking, just keep walking!

Stop taking pictures of me, it's causing my eye to do weird things!

The beautiful bride

The height difference in Melissa and Nick is fabulous. Nick is about 6'9" and Melissa is probably lucky if she's 5' even.

 say Cheese!

 Love this one!

Since I never seem to make it in pictures I took the liberty of taking the camera and holding it out in front of us for a family shot!

 Hold on tight tight!

My camera was acting up so these pictures came out so dark but this is him and his bff getting introduced at the reception and standing with Nick's sister and brother in law, who he loved!
