the cute things he does

We knew it would happen eventually. Eric discovered the drum set in the closet last night. The neighbors are going to LOVE us! Ironically we got Eli this drumset for his 2nd birthday. It seems like ages ago. This drumset has travelled and held up pretty well.

Our future rock star

Eric's new favorite activity is to sit at the desk and color with a pen. He is very good about keeping the pen on the paper and not walking away from the desk with the pen. He's so grown up!

visitors

We had some visitors come this week. My friend Marissa was home to MA with her three kiddos including her newest arrival, baby Xavier. We are looking to spend a lot more time with them since they will be moving back to MA in about a month or so.

Eric and Savannah playing so nicely together. I think he's so nice to her because she's so cute!

There he is! Isn't he the cutest???

wildlife

We have had a lot of wildlife in these parts these days. Yesterday we even went on a walk and saw all the footprints these wildlife have made in the snow. We have always seen deer footprints in the back but never have we seen the deer until lately. There's a family of up to like 13 deer or so that wander right outside our window (well we are on the third floor so not quite right outside our window!). So here's the pictures to prove it:

I don't know what these animals are but Eric took a picture of them one day:

Here's the deer

Another snow/sleet/rain/whatever it's doing out there day

Snow days make us so lazy. Today we are just hanging around the house. Big Eric was supposed to have school but that was cancelled. So we are hanging out, lounging around:

Happy Birthday Eric!

I was expecting to be busy with my internship and school on Tuesday so I didn't think I would get to be home for Eric's birthday. However, mother nature had other plans so I didn't go into my internship and school was cancelled thanks to yet another snow storm. It was nice to be able to spend time with him that day. We decided to take the truck out in the snow and get out of the house. Again as I've said before, i am so thankful for that truck because otherwise I wouldn't have left the house all winter. We went to Longhorn for dinner. It was nice because there was no one there so we got great service. We love it there!
Daddy insisted on getting Eric dressed up like him so here they are!

Daddy sprayed Eric with cologne so he was "rubbing" it in to his shirt so he wasn't paying attention to the camera.

Happy 29th Eric!

Snow party!

Yesterday Dylan and Ryan attended Auntie's daycare :). It was nice to have them over because I don't get to spend a lot of time alone with them and because it was snowing so we weren't going very far so it made the day more exciting. The boys played well together for the most part. Eric has a little trouble sharing his toys, especially with Ryan. Whenever Eric tried to take a toy from Ryan, Ryan would just scowl at him as if to say, "Seriously Eric???!" The trickiest part was naptime. Big Eric decided it would be a good idea to set up Ryan's pack-and-play in Eric's room instead of our bedroom. So the trick was the get Ryan asleep first and then sneak Eric in for a nap after. I managed to do it. It took a few tries but they both napped and everyone was happy! It brought me back to my days of working in daycare. I ran my daycare like a well oiled machine!

Here they are happily eating

They look like they are playing so nicely but about two minutes later Eric started stealing blocks from Ryan and Ryan started knocking Dylan's structures over. But it looks like they are playing nicely.

Eric and Eli

On sunday we had family over to celebrate big Eric's birthday a few days early. His birthday was really tuesday but I thought I would be at my internship and then school so we celebrated early... And then we got a snowstorm, but I'll get to that in a later post. So during the hustle and bustle of the birthday celebration I didn't take any pictures. However, I took several pictures of Eric and his big cousin Eli. He doesn't get to see him as often so he gives him lots of love when he's around. He calls him "Aa-lie" which is cute. So he would just hug Eli and not let him go. We even went out for pizza that night and they sat together in the booth with their arms around each other. It was so cute. Eli is so patient and loving to Eric. It's so nice to see them enjoy each other's company.

Where's Eli's face???

Eli was having trouble taking his eyes off the Celtics game to take a picture

Love

Now Eric can't keep his eyes off the game

Here's a video of them playing so well together. Before this they were racing around the apartment in the cars.
