Halloween

Eric picked out two pumpkins for halloween. A small one to paint and a big one to carve. We went to Foppema's Farm to pick out the perfect pumpkin to carve. He walked through all of them and then picked the one he wanted and it was a great choice!

Here he is with his pumpkin that he painted

Painting away

Time to carve the big pumpkin! He's putting his hands in to dig out the gunk

So while we carved the pumpkin, Eric Charles ate the pumpkin haha I can't believe he liked how it tasted!

Eric carving away

My portion, the not so straight or perfect "Hamelin" pumpkin

Eric's portion. He did this with a stencil although he probably could have done something like this free-hand.

A rare and cute picture of me and the little guy

Happy Halloween from the Hamelins!

Cheese!

Silly!

On Halloween we were temporarily residing with my parents due to the storm (to be discussed in a later post). We got Eric all dressed up in his spiderman costume. We played it smart this year. We got him spiderman pajamas and found a spiderman hat and gloves. The minute he got into the costume he went right into character. He even tried to climb the walls.

Superman Ryan!

The boys all dressed up on Halloween. Notice the snow in the background

A lot of towns re-scheduled trick-or-treating (silly right?!) so we ended up spontaneously going trick or treating in Uxbridge through my mother-in-law's neighborhood. This was the first time we had taken Eric trick or treating. He was shy but liked taking the candy and enjoyed going to different houses. We are going to go through my parent's neighborhood on friday when trick-or-treating has been rescheduled. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
