Lately Pokey has been trying to get out of the house almost every time we open the door. When he does make it out of the house he runs to go under people's fences that enclose their patios so we can't get to him. People around here must be wondering where the heck this cat is coming from.
Last night Eric came home around 7ish and apparently Pokey ran out the door which I had no idea about. Eric's been getting so fed up with him that he just leaves him outside and watches him from the kitchen window until he can see that he's heading out from under the fence. Well apparently Eric forgot that Pokey had escaped! At about 5am we heard a loud scratching on our front door. To which Eric leaped out of bed realizing that he had left Pokey outside. Thankfully Pokey knows where he lives and came back but this makes me a nervous wreck. One of these days someone is just going to take him or he's going to get hurt. The poor cat must feel so neglected with the baby here. What makes me sad is that I did not even notice that he was gone :(
